Nude photography workshops and nudes photo shootings 2010

(beginners and advanced learners)

This year, we will once again arrange interesting, instructive artistic nude workshops and nudes photo sessions for you where you can discover your talent, acquire new knowledge and skills and consolidate and improve your competences in practice.

We offer one-day photo workshops (on Saturdays and Sundays) and evening courses (on Tuesdays) on various topics and with different amateur models. While photographing the model of the workshop under the expert guidance of Daniel Bauer, who is at your disposal for any further questions, tips and tricks.

The number of participants in all the workshops is limited to at least 3, maximum 5 persons, so that all can benefit optimally.

What is the difference between a fine artistic nude photograph and a simple snapshot?

During the practical work with the nude model under the guidance of Daniel Bauer, you will learn the important basics and find out what matters to successfully photograph attractive and compelling artistic nudes.

You take photos of the model in classic nude poses and learn how to use point of view, depth of field, aperture, shutter speed, light and shadow skillfully, how to create a relaxed atmosphere for good photo results, guide a model, find convincing poses and find appropriate light settings and camera positions, which emphasise the body shapes in beautiful images.

Most of the nudes show the model in static poses. In motion (such as dancing, jumping, walking ...), there are different body positions, accidentally or deliberately chosen poses; the muscles show a different game than with the common poses.

Under the guidance of Daniel Bauer you're shooting a moving nude model and learn to know by the practical example about the specific requirements for shooting, lighting and camera position in order to skillfully express motion in the picture. You experiment with motion blur of the foreground and / or background, with freezing fast action, and assess and compare the results of different photo techniques.

An experimental nude photo workshop for participants who want to photograph unusual, interesting artistic nudes.

Create atmospheric indoor nudes with the existing light. Become acquainted with the characteristics and effects of the different available light qualities, learn how to form, to influence and use shadow and light.

The focus of this workshop are the effects and potential of nude against-the-light shots and the creative photographic work with the long hair of a nude model.

Under the guidance of Daniel Bauer you learn to deal skillfully with strong contrasts, to emphasize body shapes with light and shadows, photograph silhouettes and, of course, to show the beautiful hair of the model in the right light and to take advantage of exciting poses.

evening/night ambiance using "available light" nudes photo workshop «evening/night ambiance»

Design beautiful nude pictures with available light indoors and create a romantic and exciting evening/night ambiance.

The camera's automatic (possibly even the automatic fill flash) and the "normal" settings of the image editing programs often adjust colors, brightness and contrast to an average image result. Therefor a deliberately chosen dark mood can easily be lost.

In this workshop you shoot images under the guidance of Daniel Bauer with very little light and a lot of dark , which reflect an evening or night mood. You experiment with the color of the light and use the different depths of the shadows to achieve certain moods, without showing "too much".

Under the guidance of Daniel Bauer you photograph the model in poses and settings, as you know them from glamour magazines: erotic-looking statements and optimal physical expression without slipping into the "cheap". You experiment with different light settings, with focal length and camera positions to find suitable poses and take artistic, glamorous nude and lingerie photos.

Digital cameras shoot in color (even if they are set to black-white). Of course it is easy to convert a color image quickly in black and white on the computer. But the results are often unsatisfactory and without a strong post-editing they seem dull and boring.

In this workshop we will devote ourselves to the particularities of black and white pictures and pay attention to get exciting and vibrant black and white photos.

For women and men of all ages

Our photo courses and artistic nudes workshops are suitable for interested women and men of all ages, for beginners and avanced learners. Although not really a theory teaching is held, the course head is available for individual questions and tips throughout the duration of the workshop and explains the technical contexts and photographic subtleties directly with practical examples.

In all seriousness, there are always many reasons to laugh with each other and hints and suggestions are exchanged in the friendly ambience, which make your stay in Barcelona a thoroughly positive experience also outside of the courses.

necessary equipment:

For all workshops: own digital camera with flash that can be switched off, terminal for external flash (flash shoe or plug), battery charger, camera instructions. Possibly own flash, photo cell.

For available-light and motions workshops: small lightweight mini-tripod, possibly remote-control release, Camera with switchable automatic (manual settings).

For the glamour workshops: zoom from moderate wide-angle to tele range (min. 35-70mm, or corresponding interchangeable lenses) (entspr. Kleinbild: mind. 35mm - 70mm).
